Yan Xiaonan booked to co-headline UFC Shanghai in August

Yan Xiaonan will look to remain unbeaten at home.

Xiaonan (19-5 MMA, 9-4 UFC) takes on Denise Gomes (12-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC) in the UFC Fight Night 286 co-main event on Aug. 29 from Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in China, promotion officials announced Wednesday morning.

Since losing to Zhang Weili for the strawweight title at UFC 300, Xiaonan has split her past two appearances. After defeating Tabatha Ricci, the 37-year-old dropped a unanimous decision to Virna Jandiroba last April at UFC 314.

Gomes is on a four-fight winning streak and has won six of her past seven. The Brazilian Dana White’s Contender Series graduate is coming off a unanimous decision win over Tecia Pennington at UFC Fight Night 264 last November.

The current UFC Fight Night 286 lineup includes:
