Wyandotte softball finds it’s footing against tough opponent
WYANDOTTE, OK — The Lady Bears took on Adair’s Warriors at the Triple J Ranch Stadium in a sunny afternoon matchup.
Coming off a loss their last game, Wyandotte looked to make a statement win.
It would be Adair that struck first though, at one point holding a three nothing lead with hot bats early.
Wyandotte were able to compose themselves, getting some key defensive stops and eventually getting their bats going as well.
After an Adair pitching change Wyandotte would get two on the board in the second with a deep RBI shot from Malynn Wrick, and eventually tie it up with a homerun bomb from Neveah Cooper, making it 3-3.
That same inning, a Bears RBI double would have them up 6-3.
Both teams would have offensive success over the next seven innings but it would be Wyandotte that took the ball game 8-5.
The bears take on Commerce in their next matchup on the 3rd, while Adair sees the Kansas Comets on the 10th.
