Real Madrid and Brazil winger, Vinicius Junior has become the subject of widespread discussion on social media after unveiling a noticeably different appearance after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The 26-year-old reportedly underwent a chin harmonisation procedure in Goiânia, Brazil, shortly after the Selecao’s Round of 16 exit from the tournament.

Photos circulating online showed Vinicius with a more defined jawline and sharper facial profile, prompting fans to react to his dramatic transformation.

According to reports, the cosmetic procedure was carried out by renowned dermatologist, Dr Alessandro Alarcao, who reportedly travelled from Miami to perform the treatment.

The procedure, commonly known as chin harmonisation, is designed to improve facial balance and definition through surgical or non-surgical techniques.

The images quickly went viral across social media platforms, with fans offering mixed reactions.

While some praised the new look, others admitted they initially struggled to recognise the Brazilian forward.

Online discussions and memes also emerged as supporters debated the extent of the transformation.

Vinicius enjoyed an impressive individual World Cup campaign despite Brazil’s disappointing early exit and is expected to return to Real Madrid for pre-season preparations in the coming weeks.

His appearance, however, has generated almost as much attention as his performances on the pitch.

With the new season fast approaching, fans will now be eager to see whether Vinicius can continue making headlines for his football as much as he has for his striking new look.

Here are some reactions gathered by DAILY POST on social media:

@zause17 said “bro looks like Franklin”.

@zhyar “who thinks he looks better before?”

While others are indifferent with @zeal saying: “I don’t really care about this, I just want him to perform well next season. He looks better ngl”.
