World Cup 2026: ‘It’s scary’ – Zlatan Ibrahimovic explains why Sweden lost 3-0 to France
Former Sweden striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has explained why France defeated his country 3-0 at the World Cup.
Ibrahimovic watched as France thrashed Sweden in the World Cup Round of 32 encounter on Tuesday night to progress to the Round of 16 stage.
Goals from Kylian Mbappe (2) and Bradley Barcola gave the French team the victory against Sweden.
Reacting, Ibrahimovic admitted that Sweden lost discipline in the organization, especially in the defense against France.
“I have to speak about my little Sweden, they were stable for 15-20 minutes and then they lost the discipline in the organization especially in the defensive,” Ibrahimovic said on Fox Sports.
“But I have to give courage to Graham Potter, he went back to four defenders and put two strikers in Isak and Gyokeres .
“That is the way I think they should play, but I am not the coach. Let’s see how far France can go, but this is scary.”
