Wolves’ Marshall Munetsi unlikely to remain at Paris FC

Marshall Munetsi (29) enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Paris FC during the second half of last season, but according to a report from Le Parisien,he is unlikely to remain in the French capital beyond the summer.

Having struggled at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Munetsi arrived at Paris FC back in January. In 16 appearances, he scored four goals and registered two assists. His performances helped lift Les Parisiens out of relegation contention and towards a mid-table finish in Ligue 1.

Retaining Munetsi was thought to be one of Paris FC’s priorities heading into the summer. The midfielder is unlikely to be retained by Wolves, relegated to the EFL Championship, but his €15m price tag is perhaps inaccessible for Paris FC. The Ligue 1 club have, in any case, failed to advance in talks regarding a permanent move.

The midfielder’s entourage are now looking at other options outside of Ligue 1.
