One of the biggest acquisitions by any team of the 2026 offseason has been out of practice throughout most of the preseason.

But Rams defensive end Myles Garrett returned to practice on Sunday, after missing plenty of time with a knee issue.

“Yep, he’s going to do some stuff,” coach Sean McVay told reporters on Sunday regarding Garrett’s anticipated participation.

The Rams will issue their first injury report for Week 1 on Monday. That will contain some information, but not much, regarding Garrett’s specific injury and his level of participation.

Our guess? He’ll be listed as limited (knee). And he’ll likely end up being described on Wednesday as questionable (knee). And then the 49ers will find out, along with the rest of us, whether and to what extent Garrett will be available on Thursday night in Australia.
