At the end of the day, A.J. Brown was traded to the New England Patriots for a reason. 

Whether it was justified or not, Brown had a real problem with the way the locker room was being run with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Insider Tom Curran is worried that Brown will bring that behavior to Foxboro, and his new head coach, Mike Vrabel, who was the driving force for bringing Brown in, will not hold him accountable.

“My only concern is that he will want to have the A.J. rules,” Curran said. “Is he going to get the ‘wah-wahs’ when he’s not getting the ball enough?

“Is Mike Vrabel, having been so invested in getting this player here, going to feel compelled to treat A.J. Brown differently?”

The first time Brown and Vrabel teamed up was in Tennessee when Vrabel’s Titans used an early-round draft pick on him. 

Brown went on to record two 1,000-yard seasons to start his career. He was injured in year three and never made it to the fourth season of his rookie contract because he, rightfully, demanded a raise. 

When Brown and the Titans were unable to reach an agreement on a new contract, he was traded to the Eagles.

But before the contract fiasco, he was not the A.J. Brown fans met in Philadelphia. 

He has some edge to him for sure, but I’m not worried about him disrupting the locker room in Foxboro. Just look at what Vrabel did with Stefon Diggs.
