Hall is a boyhood fan of the Magpies, despite coming through Chelsea‘s academy and spending 12 years on their books in London.

He spent a season on loan with the Tyneside outfit in 2023/2024 before they activated his £28 million (plus £7m in add-ons) buy obligation, tying him down to a contract until June 2029.
