Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry will officially enter the final year of his contract during the 2026-27 NBA season.

The 4x NBA champion is all set to make $62.5 million this season with the Dubs. While Curry is already 38 years old, he remains one of the best guards in the league.

As a result, many Warriors fans are concerned about why the veteran guard hasn’t signed a new contract with the organization.

Stephen Curry confirms he will end his career with Golden State Warriors

Considering the Warriors’ underwhelming performances since winning the 2022 NBA Championship, some fans are worried that the Baby-Faced Assassin may leave the team when his current deal expires.

However, Curry put these rumors to bed with a major update about his future with the Warriors ahead of the 2026-27 season.

“There’s no question I want to be here the rest of my career, and I’m pretty sure that’s going to happen,” Curry told NBC Sports Bay Area’s Dalton Johnson.

He added, “The deal and the contract stuff will happen at the right time, and we’re not letting it be a distraction from our preparation for the season, and the fact that the team we’re coming back with has a lot of familiarity.

“Hopefully we can be healthy and just have a chance to show what we’re capable of, myself included, missing so many games last year.”

In simple terms, the Dubs legend has no plans to switch teams during the twilight years of his NBA career. But will this decision cost him a shot at winning another NBA title? Only time will tell.
