Why I Visited Kano NDC Senator – APC Chair

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has explained that his visit to Senator Rufai Hanga of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) was aimed at promoting peace, unity, and the development of the state.

Yilwatda disclosed this in a statement on Thursday after paying a courtesy visit to Hanga, whom he described as one of the leading stalwarts of the NDC in Kano State.

According to him, their discussions focused on the unity, peace, stability, and future of Kano State.

“Our discussions were cordial and focused on the unity, peace, stability, and future of Kano State,” he said in a post on his X handle.

The APC chairman said political differences should not prevent leaders from working together for the benefit of the people.

“Regardless of political affiliation, leaders share a common responsibility to promote peace, strengthen democratic values, and work together in the best interest of our people,” Yilwatda said.

He added that Nigeria’s progress would be better achieved through dialogue and cooperation than through political division.

“Nigeria’s progress is best served when we build bridges of understanding, encourage constructive dialogue, and place the welfare of citizens above partisan considerations,” he added.

Yilwatda expressed optimism that the collective efforts of political leaders would help build “a more united, peaceful, and prosperous Kano State and Nigeria”.
