Brooks Koepka had put together three quality rounds of golf.

Despite that, he is withdrawing from the RBC Canadian Open on Sunday.

Koepka was 6-under through three rounds of play.

He went out with a 64 on Thursday. Then it was a 68 on the par-70 course on Friday.

Koepka struggled a bit more with a 72 on Saturday, but he still entered Sunday with a decent shot at a top-20 finish.

Instead, he won’t play any of his round.

Why did Brooks Koepka withdraw?

Koepka withdrew due to injury.

The PGA Tour announced that it’s a hand injury keeping Koepka out of action.

Given that the news came out at about 10:30 a.m. ET, it’s likely that Koepka arrived at the course on Sunday and tried to see if he could work through the pain.

Apparently, he couldn’t, and he’ll look ahead rather than risk anything worse on Sunday.
