Brayden McNabb is playing Saturday for the Vegas Golden Knights, which is the good news.

The change? He’s rocking one of those cage facemasks with his helmet for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Most guys just wear visors, but not McNabb on this night.

Why is Brayden McNabb wearing a cage facemask?

McNabb is protecting his face after an injury in Game 2.

He took an 87 MPH shot right to his face. It sort of deflected off his visor and into his face, but wasn’t quite a direct shot.

Still, it knocked McNabb right down, and he skated off the ice and didn’t return.

He was a question mark to even play in Game 3.

Clearly, it’s a big game with the series tied 1-1.

McNabb is the Golden Knights’ all-time leader in games played, and he wasn’t going to miss this one.

He just had to wear a little bit of extra safety gear to be out there on the ice for the Golden Knights at home.
