When are The Hundred playoffs? Dates, time, teams and format for cricket league detailed
Cricket fans won’t have to wait long to find out who lifts The Hundred trophies in 2026, with both showpiece finals set to unfold on the same ground, on the same day, just hours apart.
It’s shaping up to be a proper finale to a competition that’s built plenty of buzz since its launch back in 2021.
After an enthralling group stage where eight teams battled it out across 32 fixtures, it is time for the teams to find that extra gear as the tournament has reached its business end.
The Sporting News takes a look at The Hundred Playoffs in detail.

When are The Hundred playoffs and finals?
The knockout stage kicks off with Friday’s eliminators at The Oval in London, before the whole thing wraps up on Sunday, August 16, when both finals are played as a double-header at Lord’s.
As has been the case every year since the tournament began, the women’s final gets things going first, with the men’s decider following not long after.
Should the weather intervene, there’s a reserve day built in for both stages: Saturday, August 15, for the eliminators, and Monday, August 17, if the finals need it.
What time do The Hundred playoffs start?
Friday’s eliminators at The Oval are down for a 2:15 pm (6:45 pm IST) start, with the men’s game following at 6 pm (10:30 pm IST).
The women’s fixture between Southern Brave and SunRisers Leeds gets underway at 2:15 pm (6:45 pm IST), before Manchester Super Giants take on SunRisers Leeds in the men’s eliminator at 6 pm (10:30 pm IST).
The finals follow a similar timetable on Sunday.

The Hundred playoff format
The format hasn’t changed since the tournament’s early days. Whichever side tops the group table in each competition goes straight through to the final, no questions asked.
The teams that finish second and third then meet in a single eliminator match, with the winner claiming the second final spot.
It’s a simple, no-frills system: top the table, and you’re in; finish just behind, and you’ve got one shootout to keep your season alive.
Which teams have qualified for The Hundred Playoffs?
Trent Rockets have already punched their tickets to both finals, finishing on top of the pile in each competition.
On the men’s side, they wrapped up first place with a couple of group games still to spare. Manchester Super Giants joined them in the knockout mix after thumping SunRisers Leeds in a result that mattered as much for the scoreline as for the standings.
In the women’s competition, Trent Rockets sealed top spot with 28 points from eight games, confirmed by a three-wicket win over Southern Brave, who’d been sitting second at the time and now head to Friday’s eliminator instead.
