What the UCLA Bruins depth chart looks like with Nikola Kusturica

After the UCLA Bruins added Nikola Kusturica earlier this week, it feels as if that the 2026-2027 roster is nearly complete. Kusturica brings a level of excitement to the program, adding a potential top pick in the 2028 NBA Draft.

It won’t take long for Kusturica to earn playing time with the Bruins. UCLA is paying big bucks for the Serbian forward, with expectations being sky-high after an incredible showing at the FIBA U17 World Cup.

So how is the depth chart shaping up following the addition of Kusturica? Let’s take a look.

We’ll see what Azavier Robinson can do after he put up 6.1 points per game as a freshman with Butler. Trent Perry scored over 12 points per game as a sophomore with the Bruins with room to grow in a larger role this upcoming season.

Speaking of room to grow. Eric Freeny showed plenty of promise as a freshman last season. Freeny showed defensive ability and shot 37% from three, which is a recipe for a solid producer. Jaylen Petty comes to UCLA from Texas Tech, where he scored 9.9 points per game as a freshman.

Both of the small forwards are incoming freshmen but UCLA’s second-leading returning scorer, Eric Dailey Jr., will be getting a lot of burn at the three as well. Kusturica has the most potential on the UCLA roster but is still just 17-years oldand won’t turn 18 until next April.

Dailey along with a couple of experienced transfers makes sense for Mick Cronin and UCLA. Dailey has loads of potential, with the 6’8″ forward entering his senior season and his third season with the Bruins.

It will be interesting to see how much Cronin will be able to get out of Xavier Booker. Booker is UCLA’s most talented center, standing at 6’11” and shot 43% from deep as a junior. Brandon Williams and Javonte Floyd gives Cronin some options off of the UCLA bench.
