Luciano Spalletti’s side come into the match having won the previous Serie A match against Atalanta, with a 2-0 victory at home. As for Cagliari, they have been one of the surprise packages so far in the 2026/27 season, winning four of their first five games. Their most recent win was a 1-0 triumph away against Udinese.

Let’s take a look at what went down when Juventus last took all three points against the Rossoblu.

A TOUGH START FOR JUVENTUS

On November 29, 2025, Juventus hosted Cagliari at the Allianz Stadium. It was Matchday 13 of the 2025/26 Serie A season, and Luciano Spalletti was just a handful of games into his time in charge of the Bianconeri.

It was always likely to be a tough game for Juventus, as they had just returned from facing BodoGlimt in the Arctic Circle, a Champions League clash that ended in a 3-2 victory for the Bianconeri.

Perhaps the impact of that travel could be seen in the early stages of the first half, as it was the Rossblu who took the lead in Turin. Marco Palestra made a great run down the right wing and eventually found Sebastiano Esposito in the box, who poked home to make it 1-0.

KENAN YILDIZ TURNS IT AROUND

It took just one minute for Juventus to get themselves level. They showed great spirit to immediately attack at the other end, and after some perseverance from Khephren Thuram on the ball, it broke to Kenan Yildiz.

The youngster met the ball on the bounce and fired a powerful shot into the bottom corner, giving Cagliari no chance to enjoy their lead and potentially build on it.

Yildiz continued to be a problem for Cagliari, as he then produced a good cross for Chico Conceicao whose header was saved.

The winning goal came at the very end of the first half, and it was Yildiz again. Pierre Kalulu came forward on the right and played a neat pass to the Turkish star, who danced into the boss and produced another powerful finish into the bottom corner.

Juventus had chances to build on their lead in the second half with Conceicao and Teun Koopmeiners coming close, but Yildiz’s two goals were all they needed to ensure that Spalletti maintained an unbeaten record in his first six matches in charge of the team.
