What channel is the Freedom 250 Grand Prix on? Start time, schedule

The Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington, D.C., takes place this weekend and marks the first INDYCAR race ever held on the National Mall.

The upcoming event brings the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, North America’s premier open-wheel racing championship, to the nation’s capital as part of the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. The free, two-day event features racing with landmarks that include the Washington Monument and U.S. Capitol as the backdrop.

The Freedom 250 Grand Prix takes place Aug. 22 to Aug. 23.

The race begins at 1:10 p.m. ET on Aug. 23, while events on Aug. 22 include practices, autograph sessions and two IROC races.

The Freedom 250 Grand Prix airs live on FOX and streams on FOX One on Sunday, Aug. 23, according to the events page.

Viewers can tune in at 11:30 a.m. ET Sunday on FOX or FOX One for the 90-minute prerace show. The Freedom 250 Grand Prix starts at 1:10 p.m. ET.
