We asked Newcastle fans whether they wanted Liverpool or Manchester City to win today – Interesting feedback

The question that we were asking Newcastle United fans today was: Do you want Liverpool or Manchester City to win today?

The two teams meet in a Premier League match at 4.30pm on Sunday at Anfield.

So what do you want the result to be?

If this question had been asked a month ago, I would assume that a large majority of Newcastle United fans would want Liverpool to lose, more than they’d want Manchester City to do so.

Which means by default it would (in my opinion), have been most United supporters voting for a Man City victory.

So just wondering what impact there had been with the revealing of the independent commission’s verdicts as Manchester City found guilty on 114 of the alleged 115 breaches of the Premier League rules. Man City of course appealing against those verdicts.

We wanted a current snapshot of opinion from Newcastle United fans, how you saw today’s game at Anfield.

So did Newcastle United fans want Liverpool or Manchester City to win today, or the third option of a draw?

The poll is now closed and the votes counted:

8% Liverpool win
13% Draw
79% Manchester City win

Many thanks to everyone who voted.
