Watts set 'double figures' target by Argyle boss

Plymouth Argyle attacker Caleb Watts should be aiming for at least 10 goals this season, according to boss Tom Cleverley.

The 24-year-old is returning from injury and scored for the first time this season in the 3-2 win at Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.

Watts, who moved to Argyle from Devon rivals Exeter City last summer, scored seven times in 33 appearances last season.

“He’s intense, he’s aggressive, and he showed good game understanding and real good quality in the final action,” Cleverley told BBC Radio Devon of the forward-thinking midfielder.

“His numbers are off the chart for an attacking midfielder, to be honest,” he added.

“He should definitely be targeting double figures this year.

“If he stays fit I’m sure he’ll get there.”
