Washington Football Hosting Coveted 4-Star Safety For Official Visit
One of the six uncommitted official visitors for the Washington Huskies football program this weekend is a blend of two former defensive backs and one current safety, making him the perfect fit to become part of the 2027 class.
Jaden Walk-Green, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound safety out of Corona Centennial High School in Southern California, has a mixture of ex-huskies/3470/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Huskies Myles Bryant and Makell Esteen, along with current sophomore Rylon Dillard-Allen, with ball skills that most cornerbacks possess despite lining up as a safety.
Listed as a four-star recruit by 247Sports’ Composite rankings and the No. 35 safety in the ’27 cycle, Walk-Green has been a disruptive force for the prep Huskies, registering 172 tackles, 11 interceptions, and 5 pass breakups in the past two seasons for Centennial.
This coming season, UW is expected to graduate at least two safeties in seniors Alex McLaughlin and CJ Christian, though the latter could return on a medical redshirt after missing most of 2025 with an injury before suffering a torn Achilles tendon in spring practice. However, there are only seven scholarship safeties on the 2026 roster, which means Taylor Mays and defensive coordinator Ryan Walters will need to replenish the position group through the 2027 recruiting class.
With four-star safety Isala Aisa Wily-Ava filling more of a strong safety role, Walk-Green can complete the hyphen-safety duo that UW is seeking to fill out its defensive back room on paper while both can play alternating roles—another reason the pair fit well as an unofficial package in the cycle.
Walk-Green has one more trip scheduled to Arizona State on June 12 before the four-star makes his college decision on Saturday, June 20. Having the coveted safety on campus with the majority of the Huskies’ defensive class could make a strong impression that helps sway him to make Seattle his home for the next four years.
