Warriors forward Draymond Green earns unfortunate but expected distinction

Although Warriors fans love him, Golden State forward Draymond Green is widely regarded as one of the most disliked players in the league due to past controversies, success and his on-court antics. For these reasons, Green has been accustomed to receiving boos, calling it “misguided love” from fans.

Earlier this week, Green received even more misguided love in the form of a nation-wide hate map created by RotoWire. The map declared Draymond Green as the most hated player in the NBA and the most hated player in 16 of 50 states. Surprisingly, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics came in second, being proclaimed the most hated in 13 states, the only other player on the list with 10 or more states covered. Jalen Brunson (Knicks), Anthony Edwards (Timberwolves) and Luka Doncic (Lakers) rounded out the top five.
