The players claim that their monies were taken from their wallets while they were not present in their rooms.

The team is currently staying at the Marriott Hotel in Casablanca as part of Nigeria’s preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Reports suggest that some squad members found cash missing from their personal items during their stay.

Among those affected are Esther Okoronkwo, who reportedly lost $700, Rasheedat Ajibade, is said to be missing $200, Osinachi Ohale – $100, Joy Omewa – $120, and Halimatu Ayinde – $100.

The total amount allegedly missing from the affected players is $1,220 (approximately N1.7 million in Nigerian currency).

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident or confirmed whether an investigation is underway.

The Super Falcons have arrived in Casablanca for their final preparations ahead of the continental tournament, with the entire squad now gathered in camp as head coach Justine Madugu intensifies preparations for the competition.

As the defending champions, Nigeria is expected to travel to Rabat where they will play their opening match against Malawi, with preparations for their Group C campaign, which also includes Zambia and Egypt, intensifying.
