WAEC, NECO question leakages eliminated, says Alausa
The minister noted that the examination reforms form part of the broader Nigeria Education Sector Renewal Initiative introduced under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
He disclosed that the Federal Executive Council had approved amendments to the Universal Basic Education Act and the National Senior Secondary School Education Act as part of ongoing efforts to improve the quality and delivery of education across the country.
Alausa also highlighted other ongoing reforms in the education sector, including a review of the national curriculum aimed at reducing excessive subject loads while placing greater emphasis on foundational literacy, critical thinking, digital competence and skills required for the future workforce.
He added that the Federal Government had continued to invest in medical education, technical and vocational training, student accommodation and digital infrastructure to improve access to quality education and better prepare graduates for emerging opportunities.
