Vote Tinubu again, Calabar will get more projects – Shettima tells Cross River people
Vice President Kashim Shettima has told the people of Cross River State that President Bola Tinubu has not failed Nigerians, but is fixing the country through his Renewed Hope Agenda.
Shettima spoke on Monday in Calabar during the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign rally in Cross River State, urging the people of the state to vote for Tinubu again to get more projects.
He said the administration of President Tinubu is working hard to reposition Nigeria through tough but necessary economic reforms, infrastructure development like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and efforts to expand opportunities for young people and women.
According to him, Cross River State is very strategic to Nigeria’s economic growth because of its huge potential in tourism, agriculture, maritime commerce and regional trade.
Shettima said Cross River will benefit more if the people support Tinubu for a second term in 2027.
“Cross River State occupies a strategic position in Nigeria’s economic and political landscape, with enormous potential in tourism, agriculture, maritime commerce and regional trade,” he said.
Earlier, Shettima arrived at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar, where he was received by Governor Bassey Otu, Senator Abdulaziz Yari and other APC chieftains.
From the airport, he proceeded to the palace of the Obong of Calabar, His Eminence, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V, to pay homage before moving to the stadium where thousands of APC supporters were waiting to receive him.
The rally is part of APC’s campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
