Arrowhead became the first team in 15 years to win three straight WIAA Division 1 girls state team track titles this past weekend in La Crosse and Eicher was one of the catalysts to that title charge. The Youngstown State commit was sensational, winning both the long jump (19-9) and the triple jump competitions (39-9.75). Eicher also ran a leg on Arrowhead’s title-winning 400-meter relay team (46.52) and finished fourth in the 100-meter final (11.62).

The duo captured its second straight WIAA Division 2 boys state doubles tennis title and finished off an undefeated season this past weekend with a thrilling 6-2, 6-7 (5), 10-8 victory in the title match over Plymouth’s Gianni Frausto and Cavin Baltus. Milleman also became the first D2 doubles player to win three straight state doubles titles since 2005.

The University of Illinois commit finished his career with state titles in three record-breaking heats in the wheelchair 400 (:56.92), 800 (1:54.75) and 1,600 (3:52.27). His career total of 11 individual state titles eclipsed fellow Hilltopper Joe Schubert (10) to make Quintero the most decorated wheelchair athlete in WIAA history.

Tally had three top-three finishes including a state record in the 800 to lead Homestead’s title effort at WIAA state track and field. The senior broke his own 800 state record with a win in 1:51.00, ran anchor in a winning 3,200 relay and placed third in the 1,600.

The junior broke the oldest WIAA state track and field record on the books with a 25 foot, 9.75 inch long jump that broke the standing record since 1965 by nine inches. Zielinski also contributed to a winning 800 relay team that broke the state record with a 1:25.76 in prelims, and won the triple jump with a jump of 48 feet, 2 inches.
