Von Miller announces he's joining Cowboys. What he said
Giddy up!
Von Miller is a member of the Dallas Cowboys, the linebacker announced via an Instagram post on Sunday, Aug. 16.
“Hereee Weee Gooo,” Miller posted with a photoshopped image of himself in a No. 40 Cowboys uniform.
ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter also reported the news on his X account, noting that Miller is returning to his home state where he also played college football at Texas A&M.
Miller was drafted by the Denver Broncos as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2011 draft. He was named the Defensive Rookie of the Year after notching 11.5 sacks and 64 combined tackles his first year. He was selected to the Pro Bowl eight times and was named to the first-team All-Pro roster three times in his time with Denver. In 2012, he had a career-high 18.5 sacks.
He missed the entire 2020 campaign due to a torn tendon in his ankle.
He won Super Bowl 50 with the Broncos and then hoisted the Lombardi Trophy again for Super Bowl 56, after he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams.
Miller has also spent time with the Buffalo Bills and was a member of the Washington Commanders last season.
