VIDEO: ‘Tinubu Fought For You’, Shettima Seeks North’s Support For Tinubu’s Re-Election

Vice President Kashim Shettima has appealed to voters in northern Nigeria to back President Bola Tinubu for a second term in 2027, arguing that the President has earned the region’s support through his past backing of northern political leaders.

Shettima made the appeal on Saturday at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna, where he urged voters to support the party’s candidates across all levels of government.

“We have come to ask you to renew a second time for the APC from top to bottom,” he said.

The Vice President cited Tinubu’s support for northern figures, including former President Muhammadu Buhari, as a reason for voters in the region to reciprocate by supporting his re-election bid.
