Nothing is done yet, but it looks like things are heading in a positive direction, with Barcelona confident of bringing Rodri to the Nou Camp as the clubs negotiate together over the player’s transfer fee.

It sounds like it’s only a matter of time before Rodri gets his move to Barca, in what is undoubtedly a big blow for Man City.

Manchester City dealt another blow with Rodri exit

Rodri has been arguably City’s most important player in recent years, and he’s not even the only experienced figure leaving the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Bernardo Silva and John Stones have also left after coming to the ends of their contracts, while of course there was also the blow of legendary manager Pep Guardiola stepping down.

In that context, MCFC could really have done without Rodri also deciding to go back to Spain at this moment in time.

Still, they also can’t complain too much after surely getting the best of the 30-year-old, who won the lot with City during his peak years.
