Social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, VDM, has shared his first evidence showing police officers being paraded just hours after the Nigeria Police Force invited him to substantiate his claim that some police officers connive with kidnappers.

VDM shared the video on his Instagram handle on Thursday with the caption, “My evidence number 1.”

DAILY POST reports that the development comes shortly after the Nigeria Police Force invited the activist to provide evidence in support of allegations he made during the 66th Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, in Port Harcourt.

VDM, who served as a panellist at the conference on Tuesday, alleged that some police officers manning checkpoints along major highways in the country provide kidnappers and bandits with information about travellers.

According to him, such officers allegedly relay details about the identities and movements of travellers to criminal groups, thereby facilitating abductions for ransom.

The allegation drew a response from the Nigeria Police Force, which denied the claim and challenged VDM to substantiate his allegations.
