Vasilije Adzic refuses to commit his future to Juventus after his goal against them

Vasilije Adzic came off the bench to help Sassuolo beat Juventus in Serie A yesterday, and he refused to commit his future to the Bianconeri, insisting that he does not know what tomorrow holds.

The youngster left Juve to move on loan to Sassuolo because he was not guaranteed regular game time, while Luciano Spalletti clearly does not appear to fancy him in his system.

However, that decision could turn out to be a mistake because Adzic has been fantastic since joining the black and greens for the term and has enjoyed a strong run of form.

The goals have been coming for the youngster, and he scored against his parent club to show that Juventus could have kept him and trusted him. Instead, the Bianconeri allowed him to leave on loan while they continued working with the players currently in Turin.

Adzic’s performance against Juve will make his situation even more interesting. He has already shown that he can make an impact against his parent club, and his form at Sassuolo could give Juventus something to think about when they assess their squad again.

This has been a poor start to the season for the Bianconeri, and Juve will probably wish they had kept Adzic and given him more opportunities. His performances for Sassuolo could eventually earn him a place in their team next season.

Adzic refuses to discuss his future

For now, however, Adzic is refusing to look too far ahead. His focus remains on performing well for Sassuolo, while he admits that nobody can know what the future will bring.

The youngster was asked about his situation after the match, but he made it clear that he does not want to make any commitment about where he will play next.

He said via Tuttomercatoweb:

“Good question, but I can’t answer it because this isn’t my job. I’ll always try to do my best in every match, and then I don’t know what will happen in the future, and I don’t want to think about it because no one knows. I think day after day.”

That response leaves the door open regarding Adzic’s future. Juventus may still have plans for him, but his continued development at Sassuolo could make the decision more difficult.

If he maintains this level of form, the Bianconeri will have to consider whether bringing him back could strengthen their squad. For now, Adzic is concentrating on his performances and leaving the future unresolved.
