USC’s Jayden Maiava to appear on College Football 27 cover

USC‘s Jayden Maiava should be one of the top returning quarterbacks in college football this season. While he has not gotten as much attention as some of the other top QBs in the country, he has certainly caught the attention of at least one major entity.

Recently, EA Sports announced the covers for its College Football 27 video game. Maiava will be featured on the cover of the deluxe edition, appearing alongside five other players and Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti.

Maiava is the fourth USC player to be featured on the cover of the game. In its previous iteration, Carson Palmer was on the cover of NCAA Football 2004, Reggie Bush of NCAA Football 07, and Mark Sanchez of NCAA Football 10.

With the previous game, however, players could not be featured on the cover until after they left school. Hence, Maiava is the first player to appear on the cover while still playing for the Trojans.

College Football 27 is set to be released in early July.
