USC announces details regarding 2026 Salute to Troy kickoff event

The 2026 college football season is just around the corner! With fall camp drawing closer, this week, USC announced the details surrounding the annual Salute to Troy season kickoff rally on campus.

This year’s Salute to Troy will take place on Friday, August 21—eight days before the Trojans‘ season opener against San Jose State at the Coliseum. In addition to USC’s players and coaches, the event will feature appearances by Traveler and The Spirit of Troy, as well as food and drinks.

This year’s event will also honor the 50th anniversary of the 1976 USC team and the 25th anniversary of the 2001 team. Both seasons marked the debut campaign of a legendary Trojans head coach—1976 for the late John Robinson, and 2001 for Pete Carroll. In addition, the evening will see the annual presentation of USC’s Marv Goux and Bob Chandler awards.
