Unsettled Chelsea star open to January transfer exit after recent development
Chelsea winger Estevao Willian has reportedly become unsettled at Stamford Bridge as he’s unsure he’ll see much playing time under Xabi Alonso.
This follows big spending by the Blues this summer to bring in a major new attacking player in the form of Morgan Rogers.
Estevao started brightly at Chelsea last season and looks like one of the most exciting young talents in their squad, but there’s now even more competition for a place in the team.
According to ESPN Brasil, this now means Estevao could consider opportunities to move in January if he can’t nail down a place in Alonso’s side.
Tough start to the season for Estevao Willian
So far, it’s not looking great for the Brazilian, who played only seven minutes off the bench in Chelsea’s opening day win over Fulham, and who was an unused substitute in the 4-3 win at home to Brighton.
With Rogers sure to start most games for CFC, and with Cole Palmer looking back to his best, it’s going to be very tricky for Estevao to secure regular minutes.

The 19-year-old scored eight goals in 36 games in all competitions last season, and at times looked like someone who could really take the Premier League by storm.
His form faded as the campaign went on, however, and we’ve seen many times at Chelsea that players won’t necessarily get that long to show what they can do.
The competition for places is vast and the pressure is high, so Estevao might be being pretty realistic in thinking his future could lie elsewhere.
It will be interesting to see how this saga develops in the weeks and months ahead, as there’ll surely be plenty of top clubs ready to make a move for this hugely exciting prospect.
