Undefeated Mosley football land outside top 25 in latest rankings

The Florida High School Athletic Association releases high school football rankings through MaxPreps twice a week as the season winds down. The rankings are generated using MaxPreps’ computer algorithm, which evaluates factors such as strength of schedule and data submitted to the platform.

One point of contention surrounding the rankings is how those factors are weighted. Teams such as Bay High and Mosley have dropped in the rankings despite winning consistently. Mosley, in particular, has reason to question the system, as the undefeated Dolphins see themselves outside the top-25 in the state.

These are where Bay County high schools rank right now as the season comes to the final stretch.
