Dana White‘s UFC has always been known for paying some of its lesser-known fighters an extremely low salary, which has often been a topic of debate. Earlier this year, Ronda Rousey, ahead of her MMA return and retirement fight, called out the UFC’s pay scale and thrashed White over.

Recently, after Conor Benn was offered a huge new contract by Zuffa Boxing, UFC’s Sean Strickland also opened up about it and talked about his existing contract with the UFC. Now, former UFC star Colby Covington also shared his thoughts on Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing salary. Once a part of the UFC roster and now far away from receiving another contract opportunity from White’s company, Covington has openly slammed White and the UFC’s salaries.

During an interview with Ozoon Canada, Covington shared the following when asked about UFC fighters’ pay, “I don’t like it at all. It’s just tough. Ever since they got into the boxing space with Zuffa Boxing, it just was like a big slap in the face to us UFC fighters.

“Why are you going to pay this bum Conor Benn $15 million? Who the f**k is Conor Benn? Like, no one knows who that is. He’s a nobody. And he quit in his fight, literally just went out there to collect a paycheck and just quit.

“He didn’t even put on a good performance, he was out in like three or four rounds against Ryan Garcia, who’s nothing special. You know, that guy was beat up by Rolly Romero just a fight before. So, I don’t like it,” Covington added. Covington, 38, was part of the UFC roster from 2014 to 2026.
