UFC Vegas 123 video: Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani mutilates Farman Hasanov’s face for TKO

Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani mangled Farman Hasanov’s face to the point the referee and doctor had no choice but to wave it off at UFC Fight Night 292.

Lebosnoyani (12-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC) continued the strong start to his octagon tenure with an all-around beatdown of Hasanov (5-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) in the welterweight matchup Saturday at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas. A nasty cut happened late in the second frame, then in the third after more damage, referee Dan Miragliotta had seen enough. He called the physician in, and it was quickly waved off by TKO at the 2:11 mark of Round 3.

Lebosnoyani was elated to get the job done and made a callout of veteran Jake Matthews (22-8 MMA, 16-8 UFC), who competes next month at UFC Fight Night 294 in Qatar.

“I can do it – I can get a finish in the UFC,” Lebosnoyani said in his post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier. “Let me get some respect. Please. I know this guy has a fight booked, but I think it would be a great next step: Jake Matthews. Win your fight and let’s go, baby.”
