UCLA athletics is one of the premier brands in college athletics, and the school is now making it easier for its students to watch the teams live.

The Bruins announced a new policy moving forward that will allow students to attend home games for free for the first time. College students typically have have to pay for their tickets to football and basketball games despite being members of their university, but UCLA decided to give its students a benefit for simply attending the university.

It’s notable that UCLA is implementing this policy considering how prominent its football and basketball teams are. The UCLA women’s basketball team won its first NCAA title in April, while the men’s basketball team is the winningest team in men’s college basketball history. The football team is also in the first year of a new and promising era under new coach Bob Chesney.

UCLA free student tickets

UCLA announced on Wednesday that it will be giving its students free admissions to football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball home games.

We need our students to show up, be loud, and make a difference.”

The policy is eligible for all UCLA undergraduate and graduate students beginning with the Bruins’ home game against Purdue this weekend. The policy also states that UCLA students can buy as many as eight guest tickets in addition to their own complementary ticket.

UCLA is hopeful that this new policy will lead to a raucous environment for football and basketball games.

“We have an exciting team led by Bob Chesney and a lot of momentum surrounding UCLA Athletics,” Harris added. “Now it’s time for our students to help set the standard. Arrive early. Be loud. Be relentless. We can’t wait to see a sea of Bruin Blue at the Rose Bowl this Saturday.”

Where are UCLA football home games?

UCLA football plays its home games at the Rose Bowl, sharing the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, which holds a capacity of 91,136. The venue is among the most iconic in college sports, making it a destination for opposing fans, so the Bruins
