U.S. President Donald Trump makes surprise decision for Steelers' Week 6 matchup

President Donald Trump has made a surprise decision regarding his previously reported attendance plans for the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ Week 6 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to CNN Senior White House Correspondent Kristen Holmes, Trump reportedly canceled his plans to attend the Steelers‘ Week 6 matchup against the Buccaneers shortly after news of his expected attendance broke.

“Good news for the many people who hated this news— after we reported it, I am told they pulled down the trip,” Holmes wrote via X. “So… hope you kept your tickets!”

Trump previously attended the Steelers’ Week 7 game of the 2024 regular season, in which Pittsburgh defeated the Aaron Rodgers-led New York Jets 37-15.

The Steelers will take on the Buccaneers on Sunday, October 18, at 1:00 p.m. ET. We at Steelers Wire will cover the matchup extensively, including any roster and injury updates in the buildup to the contest.
