U.S. Open golf winners: Year-by-year list of past champions, scores, results and sites

The U.S. Open was first contested in 1895 and Wyndham Clark became the most winner when he prevailed in dramatic fashion over Sam Burns to complete a wire-to-wire victory at Shinnecock Hills.

The USGA heads west next to Pebble Beach Golf Links where a new champion will be crowned in 2027. Will it be Scottie Scheffler’s time to complete his career Grand Slam? Or will it be Burns to avenge his recent close calls at the U.S. Open?
