New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. was absent from the second day of minicamp for a personal reason, head coach John Harbaugh told reporters.

“He had a personal thing with his wife. His wife’s pregnant, and he was with her,” he said.

Tracy was a full participant on the first day of the Giants’ minicamp despite his absence on Tuesday. He was unable to practice due to the personal matter and could rejoin the team as soon as Wednesday for the third and final day of minicamp.

Tracy looked excellent throughout the first day of minicamp on Monday. The rising star will compete with fellow running back Cam Skattebo for the majority of touches in the Giants’ backfield, as both players have shown they are fully capable of handling a significant workload at the position.

Tracy was originally selected in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL draft by the Giants after a standout career at Purdue. He has continued to improve each season, recording 1,579 yards and seven touchdowns across his first two seasons in New York.

Tracy’s absence from the second day of minicamp should not be a cause for concern, as he will have ample opportunities to return to the field with the team in the near future.
