Tyrone Tracy injury: Giants’ RB leaves game against Jets

Tyrone Tracy’s nightmarish preseason took another seemingly unfortunate turn on Friday night when he left the New York Giants’ game against the New York Jets with an injury.

Tracy, the Giants’ leading rusher the past two seasons, has had a rough preseason. He missed a block in the first preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings that led to quarterback Jaxson Dart taking a big hit. In Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins, Tracy fumbled in the red zone despite being untouched.

Running backs Cam Skattebo and Devin Singletary did not dress for Friday’s game. Tracy, looking to play a clean game after the miscues in the first games, and Najee Harris did.

Tracy was having an excellent night before being injured. He had four carries for 37 yards, an average of 9.3 yards per carry. Tracy had a 6-yard touchdown run, and a long run of 16 yards.

Tracy reportedly cleared concussion protocol. He is reportedly “fine”, but is no longer in uniform and won’t return to the game.
