Two Saudi clubs join Arsenal in the race for Barcelona star

Marc Casado is one of the players Arsenal have been following over the last few seasons, and he is expected to leave Barcelona during this transfer window.

Although he is a highly regarded player, the Catalans are not counting on him ahead of their other midfield stars. The midfielder is therefore set to change clubs this summer, presenting Arsenal with an opportunity to finally secure his signature.

Arsenal have just sold Christian Norgaard and confirmed the signing of Bruno Guimaraes. However, Casado is another player they would love to add to their squad during this window.

Casado would reportedly be delighted to move to London and continue playing at an elite level in European football. However, Arsenal are facing two serious contenders from the Saudi Pro League in their pursuit of the Barcelona midfielder.

As Barcelona signals that Casado can leave, more clubs are joining the race for his signature this summer. Fichajes report that the midfielder could be heading to the Saudi Pro League, where Al Hilal and Al Ahli are competing to sign him.

The growing interest represents a significant challenge for Arsenal, particularly because the Saudi clubs could offer Casado more money than the Gunners would be able to provide.

Arsenal have maintained an interest in Casado for several seasons, and Barcelona’s willingness to allow him to leave could have created a strong opportunity for the Premier League club.

However, the emergence of Al Hilal and Al Ahli has made the situation considerably more difficult. Both Saudi clubs are now competing for the midfielder, giving him alternative options at a time when his future at Barcelona appears increasingly uncertain.
