Trump warns Iran of further military action amid rising tensions

United States President Donald Trump has again warned Iran of possible military action, saying the US would continue to respond strongly if tensions worsen.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said, “We’re going to be attacking them very hard,” after earlier accusing Iran of delaying efforts to reach an agreement.

The latest comments came as tensions remained high following recent US military strikes on southern Iran and retaliatory actions by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard against US assets in the region.

Trump also claimed that US actions had significantly affected Iran’s oil exports.

“We’ve been taking out millions of barrels of oil – millions of barrels,” he said.

According to Trump, “Every night, we took that oil,” adding that the reduction in Iranian oil supplies was one reason global oil prices were currently around $85 to $90 per barrel instead of $250.

The US president, who has faced growing criticism over rising fuel costs at home, said oil prices would fall once the conflict comes to an end.

The situation remains tense as efforts to revive peace talks face new challenges amid the ongoing confrontation between Washington and Tehran.
