Troops rescue two injured victims after bandit attack in Kaduna community

Troops of Sector 7 under Operation Enduring Peace have rescued two injured persons following a bandit attack on Lusuru village in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The incident reportedly occurred after armed men attacked the community in the early hours of Tuesday, forcing residents to flee for safety.

Details of the operation were contained in a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama.

According to the post, troops responded swiftly after receiving a distress call at about 12:15 am, engaging the attackers and forcing them to flee towards the River Kaduna axis.

Security sources added that two victims, Mrs Charity Sunday and Mrs Asabe Ayuba, were rescued with injuries from the scene.

The injured victims were later taken to Saint Louis Hospital, Zonkwa, where they are currently receiving treatment.

Troops have since intensified patrols in the area and are working to track down the fleeing attackers while maintaining a security presence to prevent further attacks in surrounding communities.
