The girl, identified as Aisha Mustafa, was rescued at about 1:41 a.m. on September 4, 2026, during a routine patrol around the Armuda general area.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, preliminary investigation reportedly indicated that the suspects intended to use the victims to monitor the activities of troops deployed around Ngoshe.

Zagazola said Aisha ran towards the troops after sighting them and surrendered, while the other two people reportedly escaped towards the village.
