Transfer: Tottenham take decision on selling Romero to Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur have insisted on not selling Cristian Romero to Arsenal this summer.

The North London club are determined not to strengthen their city rivals.

Instead, they are close to selling Romero to Atletico Madrid, despite interest from Barcelona.

Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X: “Cuti Romero and Atlético Madrid, deal close as new bid will be sent soon to Tottenham.

“Romero gave his green light to Atléti; talks have entered final stages.

“Spurs never considered selling the player to Arsenal.

“Barcelona remain focused on Rodri deal, no bid for Cuti so far.”
