Transfer: Mourinho to sign Chelsea star after Bernardo Silva reach deal with Real Madrid

Real Madrid and their new manager, Jose Mourinho are considering a move for Chelsea midfielder, Enzo Fernandez after reaching an agreement to sign Bernardo Silva as a free agent.

Silva will officially be a free agent in July when his contract with Manchester City ends later this month.

The Portugal international is all set to join the Los Blancos over Barcelona after reaching a deal with them.

Silva and Real Madrid will finalise the transfer before Portugal’s World Cup opener against DR Congo next Wednesday.

However, according to The Athletic, reports that Madrid had targeted Paris Saint-Germain midfielders Vitinha and Joao Neves to strengthen their midfield, but have been informed that the reigning Champions League holders will not sell.

The report added that Madrid and Mourinho are now looking at alternative options, and Fernandez is on the club’s shortlist alongside West Ham midfielder Mateus Fernandes.
