Transfer: How Neymar’s family company freed Santos from FIFA registration ban

· · 1 min read

Neymar’s family company, NR Sports, recently helped Santos lift a FIFA registration ban after AS Monaco reported the Brazilian club to the world’s football governing body.

NR Sports is a Brazilian sports marketing and image management company founded in 2006 by Neymar’s parents to manage their son’s career.

Monaco reported Santos to FIFA in 2025 after Peixe missed the final €2 million instalment for the permanent transfer of Brazilian midfielder Jean Lucas.

FIFA ruled in May last year that Santos had three months and 15 days to pay the outstanding amount, plus €32,876 in interest, to Monaco or face a ban on registering new players until the debt was paid.

However, Neymar’s family company helped Santos lift the club’s transfer ban by paying off its €2 million debt to the French Ligue 1 side, according to ESPN.

Neymar returned to his boyhood club, Santos, in January 2025 and helped the club avoid relegation last season.
