Chelsea are reportedly not interested in signing Arsenal forward, Ethan Nwaneri and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Lucas Bergvall this summer.

The Blues have been linked with both players during this summer’s transfer window as Xabi Alonso gets set for his first season as the club’s head coach.

Alonso is set to officially assume his role at Chelsea on July 1, having been appointed as the new manager last month, following Liam Rosenior’s departure towards the end of the previous season.

With the summer transfer window now open, Chelsea is already being linked with numerous potential new signings.

However, the Blues have yet to complete any deal this summer, and it remains uncertain when they will enter the market for reinforcements ahead of the upcoming season.

The futures of Nwaneri and Bergvall have been a topic of speculation as the new season approaches, and there is now an update regarding their prospects.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea is not currently planning to pursue either Nwaneri or Bergvall this summer, despite rumors indicating that both players could be targets for the club.

Nwaneri spent the latter half of last season on loan at Marseille, while Bergvall made 33 appearances for Spurs across all competitions, including 23 in the Premier League.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for each player, but it appears that neither will be joining Chelsea this summer, despite reports that Bergvall has shown a desire to leave Tottenham.

The Sweden international, who is under contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, is said to be attracting interest from both the Premier League and various clubs across Europe.

Nwaneri is currently enjoying his summer break after participating in the England squad for their pre-World Cup training camp in the United States.
