Trade addition Naz Reid has been 'embraced with love' since joining Hornets

Entering his eighth NBA season, recent Charlotte Hornets acquisition Naz Reid will be in a new city for the first time. After spending his first seven years with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Reid is preparing for his first year and Charlotte and likely his first season as a full-time starter after spending the beginning of his career as one of the league’s best role players.

During NBA media day, Reid spoke about his transition from the Timberwolves to the Hornets, saying, “It’s been easy to become comfortable here because everybody’s embraced me with love.”

Thus far, in 483 appearances, Reid holds averages of 11.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.9 blocks while shooting 48.1% from the field and 37.1% from beyond the arc. He’s also won a Sixth Man of the Year Award and has 48 games of playoff experience, making a Western Conference Finals appearance with Minnesota.
