“Tracking him extensively” – But PSG unlikely to let top young talent go this summer

PSG are going to be making some sales this summer, and one player who could leave is Ibrahim Baye. The superb 18 year old talent continues to be a squad option but

The Daily Mail’s reporter Tom Collomosse says that Premier League team Aston Villa are very keen on him:

“He’s expensive, but could be available and Villa’s recruitment team have been tracking him extensively,” he wrote on Twitter.

Mbaye likely to stay put and try to break into Luis Enrique’s plans

We don’t see PSG letting Mbaye go, we definitely don’t see Villa spending the sort of money it would take to buy a top talent like that.

It will come down to the winger to decide if he wants to push to go, and right now given his age we think it’s likely he stays patient a little longer. He has unbeatable competition, but he can learn a huge amount and injuries will eventually hand him his chance.

It will all have to wait until after the World Cup anyway.

In other news…

One PSG winger is looking ready to move on after a set of seasons mainly used as a rotation player. We can’t say we blame him, although he will be missed.

PSG are thinking about cutting their losses on one of last summer’s additions, and a couple of teams seem interested.
